1.0 out of 5 starsTerrible TV - Bad in every way - Do not purchase!December 3, 2011

Stay away from this TV! I purchased it as part of a $220.00 lightning deal over Black Friday and I feel completely scammed. This was intended to be a small TV for a home office that I wanted solely for its small form factor and to get basic news information, However, every portion is bad:Image - You'd never know this is LED backlight. Images, including HD sources, are soft, it has poor color reproduction, there is a high level of grain, and colors and brightness vary from channel to channel.Sound - Being a small TV, I was just expecting decent voices with no real range, but I got even less than that. In standard (forward directing sound) mode, there is an high pitch which gave my wife and I a headache after 30 minutes of listening. This goes away when you select the (rear directing sound) surround mode, but it then sounds like any noise is coming from a tin box in a tiled room through a closed door that it ten feet away. The sound was so bad that we ended up having to pick up a set of stereo speakers, but this was an issue as well. The output jack will duplicate sound from the TV, but gives you no way to turn off the TV's own terrible sound. So we have this terrible setup where we have to set the TV sound as low as possible, the external speakers to their maximum volume, and we have to try to drown out the terrible electronic pitch of this TV.Remote - This TV sits approximately 10 feet away from my desk and it occasionally has issues responding to commands. At this price range, it has no real extra functions, but even something it does have - a favorites button - does not work. We set up about ten channels as favorites and the favorites button works completely randomly. Sometimes it does nothing, sometimes it moves forward by one favorite, sometimes it brings up a menu of all favorites that you have to select a channel, sometimes you have to bring up the menu two times before it will allow you to make a change.Look, I was not expecting much and I knew that this would be a low end TV. I was not comparing this to my 46" LED 120Hz Sony Bravia or my 40" LCD Samsung, but I figured this could replace an old 27" CRT that we had. I just wanted something that I could watch the news with, but I feel completely burned on this purchase. This TV is of such poor quality that I beleive iSymphony is intentionally scamming people and Amazon should be ashamed that it even offers this product. We will be replacing this TV and I will never again purhcase a product from this company. Stay away - even looking for a small, cheap TV, you can do so much better.
