Lets start with the weak points first...The apps: Some work great, some work better for other devices. They come with your average apps like netflix, facebook, twitter, hulu plus, cinemanow, youtube, mlbtv, skype etc etc but for most part nothing advanced. The games are simply not appealing.Glare: There is a faint glare you can see when the screen goes black in a bright or a bright back room. Its not detailed enough to see if you have something in your teeth =) or nose =).The Browser:No flash. Without flash a browser is totally useless to me.Calibration Picture: The calibration picture is relatively pointless. I highly recommend a calibration dvd. With so many adjustment options to finely tune this hdtv, a better calibration method is definitely needed.(I used a google hd pic, bluray and a playstation 3 game).For those reasons I took 1 star...Here's why I gave it 4...Power Supply: My last tv was a 32in hd insignia and with this 42in my light bill is about 2 dollars less. Even though I don't use this tvs full power(I use about 60 to 75%) the picture quality it twice as good.Motion Remote: Remote is awesome. Its very responsive but there aren't many things to do with it.Surround Sound: I cannot explain how awesome the 3d surround sound is on this tv. If you like explosions then that's what you're gonna get left and right. If you like the sound of a peaceful waterfall then you'll be emerged in the flow of the water.Clear Voice: Clear Voice will adjust volume of the voices without adjusting the audio volume. I think that's awesome. No more the volume up to hear what they're saying only to have everything else even louder. Those days are over.Real Cinema 24p: This is strictly for bluray. It will give you the best picture quality bluray has to offer.Tru Motion: I can only describe it as changing the way the tv shows movement. For sports it really has no affect to me. But for movies and commercials it makes some things look more like a camcorder with an extreme stance against motion blur. It definitely moves different and adds realism. To me it made Transformers on bluray look so amazing. Some people don't like it just like some don't like 3d. I don't like 3d but I love Tru Motion along with the people I showed it to. I just can't live without it, but there's always the option to adjust it from 1 to 10 or completely turn it off. That leads me to what I love about this tv the most...EVERYTHING CAN BE ADJUSTED: There are 6 different labeled picture modes(Vivid, Standard, Cinema, Game, Expert 1 and 2) you can adjust. Each picture mode can be adjusted differently for each input. For example...cinema mode will have to be separately adjusted for hdmi1, hdmi2, pc ect ect I think this is great because they're all connected to different devices. You might not want your bluray movies to have the same adjustments as your netflix app.Theres also Intelligent Sensor, this is an automatic adjustment option that will automaticly adjust the settings using the amount of light in the room. It has no affect on your other saved presets. It will just adjust itself during the entire day.Theres also tons of options I didn't mention you can tinker with like 3 different combining ways to sharpen your picture(Super Resolution, Edge Enhancer and simply adjusting the sharpness from 0 to 100), black level, color, color temperature, color gamma, skin color, tint color, brightness/clear white, backlight, contrast and more.Even though these options are easy to understand and adjust, I wish it came with a calibration dvd.So to summarize, this is a great tv that can do everything except 3d and has tons of options to make everything look and sound better.Ive had it 1 year no problems btw.
