This new TV I've found excellent so far surpassing even a much more expensive 50 Toshiba in some respects.ProsPicture: Excellent and clear/sharp with many colors I hadn't seen in a TV before. No light bleed as in the Toshiba when the picture is dark.(could this in part be due to brightness setting?)Inputs : 2 video, 3 HDMI, 1 TV tuner, 1 component, 1 PC. More than adequate.Sound: TV has a sub-woofer that is small but effective in avoiding sound breakup as witnessed in the Toshiba. I expect this to improve even more as the speaker system burns in.Power consumption: This is an led TV which not only improves the picture but drops this 42" TV( on the "HOME" setting) to only 135 watts. My old 27" lcd used 140 watts for comparison.Styling: Very thin, Piano Black case, Glass swivel base. Blue led on, red led off; Nice.Cons:UPDATE: ************************TV has small barely visible touch panel with basic controls on right hand side*************************************very hard to see. NO BUTTONS ON TV. If you lose or break the remote the TV WILL NOT WORK. My solution was to use an old learning remote I had lying around to mimic the TV's remote, then put the original remote in a safe place. I also ordered a second original remote from the companies web site for 15.08(including shipping)-it's a simple remote.Relatively short power cord. A swivel TV should have one longer than provided, I had to purchase a small extension.Over all I am more pleased with this purchase than any I have made in a long time. If there are any longevity issues I will post back as this is a new product.HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDEric
